Welcome to our FAQ! If you don't understand something about our services, this is the place for you!
1 - How do I install my shoutbox?
- Forum Users - If you use ProBoards, ConForum, SuddenLaunch, or any other forum with headers and footers, keep reading. To install your shoutbox, go to your admin panel on your forum. Now find a button to edit / manage your headers and footers and get to the board that you would wish to edit. Visit your admin panel for your shoutbox and press "Get Code". Once you are there, highlight the code, and copy and paste it in your header or footer.
- cPanel Users - If you are using cPanel, go to your cPanel home. Now find "File Manager" and click it. Find the folder "WWW" and press the folder icon next to it. Now find the directory and file that you want it on. Once you find it, click the text and on the right, you should have an option to edit the file. Press "Edit File" and then paste the provided code into the text area.
- Freewebs Users - To add the code, first login to your account, and press "Site Manager". Simply find the file that you wish to put your shoutbox on and click the edit icon located right of the file name. Once you click the edit icon, paste the code into the editor where you like and save it.
2 - How do I customize my shoutbox?
- To customize your shoutbox, install the shoutbox where you want it (for help, read the section above), and then click here. Once you open the link, find a hack that you like and copy the code. Once you copy it, paste it in your headers and footers (on the shoutbox settings page of your admin panel).
3 - Why aren't my smilies showing?
- If smilies are not showing up when you make a shoutbox, go to your admin panel and click Settings. Once you have done that, make sure that you have enabled smilies. If they are still not showing up, go to the Edit Smilies page in your admin panel. If they are blank, you will need to fill them in with images of smilies.
